Here is a lamp that is made from English oak - the oak tree is from Sussex and I got the wood from a local timber yard- so the grain is beautiful and full of character.

However as the grain is quite open in places, the lamp broke during the making process - it has been repaired strongly but has a slight visible glue line on the neck. It is very sturdy and will be no problem in use, but I didn’t want to sell it without highlighting the imperfection first.

The Flow floor lamp’s beautiful fluid shape was inspired by many organic forms found in nature combined. The simple and elegant figure was designed to accentuate the flowing grain of the solid wood, naturally varied so each lovingly hand made lamp is unique and a piece of art. The lamp features a fabric cable along the back edge, recessed in a purpose made groove and the feet are finished with matching strengthening dowel.

The lamp is made from a single wide piece of hand selected oak, and the feet come from the cut out piece inside the curve.

Flow is made with English or European oak; a beautifully strong and graceful wood that blends with the flowing design to fit perfectly in rustic and contemporary homes alike. It can stand in the middle of a room as a bold feature as well as tuck right in a corner as a space saving subtle mood lamp.

Sold without lamp shade to keep the wait time down, but just ask if you’d like to add one. Dimensions of the shade I make are 450mm diameter x 30cm tall.
