Snowdon trip ๐ฅฐ๐๏ธ Spending time in beautiful natural places gives me inspiration for new projects and I'm planning to make it more a more regular effort. It's times when I'm relaxed, watching nature go by and not thinking about everyday to-dos, that I have my best ideas. I'd love to do up a campervan soon when I can afford it! Starting with UK trips though.. any suggestions for my next inspiration journey? ๐๐บ๏ธ๐ณ

Part of my growth plan is to have my orders made for me while I keep creating new and more ambitious pieces
I share the workshop with a lovely family joinery business, and Paul has started helping with orders when I need - and helped me make this very complicated chair
And now we're on to developing the next big project -one that I've wanted help to make for about 10 years!
Paul from @woodologysussex and upholstery Amy @ash.and.velvet were invaluable helping me bring my chair to life, it would have been very hard on my own! I'm learning that I don't actually have to struggle to do everything myself
I'm excited to get on with the next projects now - and I can't decide which one so will work on a few at the same time
They're good ones!

The tactile carved wood of the sculptural leg-arms resemble the flowing forms found in nature and at the same time ergonomically echo our forearms to balance form and function with nature and cosiness.
The hand made lounge chair is carefully constructed with solid ash throughout and traditional upholstery methods using springs and wadding, blended with modern environmentally friendly materials like coconut fibre, recycled foam and organic wool, to ensure a sustainable and comfortable showpiece that will last generations.

Read MoreMy work is always inspired by nature. It connects people to the outside world when inside at home.
I try to capture a moment of calm that we feel when at the beach, by a stream or watching the clouds go by, and bring that calm feeling home, sharing the benefits of nature every day.
Even when I don't try I realise that what I've designed resembles water, trees, hills, animals, planets ...inspiration is everywhere.
I get my best ideas when I'm relaxed, sitting by a lake, up a tree or watching the waves or rolling hills. When I'm not just daydreaming I think about how I can transform this snippet of nature into something useful and beautiful for the home.
Sometimes in our busy lives we forget that we are part of the natural world. When we take time off we relax and reset in nature but we should make a daily effort to spend some time outside and just be with the earth, as our nature.
In the meantime, run your fingers along the Low Tide Table and imagine they're dipping into the calm ocean on the wet sand ๐๐๐๏ธ๐

Read MoreI recently did a socials takeover for The Makers Directory so I thought Iโd re-introduce myself here so... Hi I'm Liv!
I design and make nature inspired furniture and homeware. I have a range of unique pieces that I make to order in a lovely Sussex countryside workshop, with my trusty sidekick Lola.
I love being creative and making things, I have done since I was tiny. I've worked for a few great design studios but I started my own business so I could do what I want and when- I don't like doing what I'm told!
I love woodwork but my favourite part of what I do is creating new designs, so I'm slowly growing to be able to do more of that.
Here's some pictures to get to know me and my work โฆโฆโฆ

Read MoreThis week I'll be at London Design Fair! It would be lovely to see some familiar faces if you can make it to Shoreditch to see me and my pieces - Thursday - Sunday (public at the weekend, trade weekdays).
Set up tomorrow and I'm nervous! I've been working towards this show since I visited annually at uni, wishing for my own stand.
I was meant to do it in 2020 but covid struck, but I have worked hard and am more ready for the big show now, and am proud of all the pieces I have created.
The chair is finished and will be at the show! Along with the new Low Tide table, a few other new things and the originals.
I'm excited to show everything and see the rest of the show after its break!
